Nava Vrindavana is located near by Gangavathi in Karnataka state. This holy place is situated in the middle of River Tungabhadra . One can visit this through boats. "Nava" means nine and so this pllace was named as "nava Vrindavana"
Brief History of each Brindavana :
1. Sri Padmanabha teertharu :
Sri Padmanabha Tirtha was one of the prominent disciples of Sri Madhvacharya, the founder of the Dvaita school of philosophy.
The earlier name of Padmanabha Teertharu was Sobhana Bhatta. He was one of the greatest and familiar scholars of his time. He came under the influence of Sri Madhva and converted to the Dvaita school. His lineage has now evolved into what is now known as the Uttaradi Matha. Sri Padmanabha Teertharu created awareness about dwaita philosophy in all parts of Karnataka .Soon after the period of Madhvacharya , it was Sri Padmanabha Tirtha who took over the "Pitha" and continued the tradition.
